Arkansas Next

Arkansas Next is an annual magazine distributed to all 8th–12th-grade students across Arkansas, making it a powerful platform for student outreach and recruitment. The Marketing team identified this publication as a strategic opportunity to increase awareness and attract prospective students to NWACC.


For this project, I designed a brand-focused two-page spread that showcased NWACC as a whole, highlighting campus life, academic opportunities, and student experience. The goal was to create a visually engaging layout that aligned with the magazine’s specifications while maintaining NWACC’s established brand identity.


I collaborated closely with the copywriter, photographer, and Enrollment Services team to ensure the messaging was clear, compelling, and aligned with recruitment goals. This project required both creative direction and cross-functional communication, blending strong visual design with strategic marketing insight.


We wanted high school students to see this ad and feel that NWACC is a place where they can grow academically, build community, and have an engaging college experience.


Arkansas Next Pros

In addition to the main brand spread, I designed a workforce-focused two-page spread featured in Arkansas Next: PROS. This version highlighted NWACC’s skills trainign programs and clear career pathways, targeting students interested in hands-on training and in-demand careers.


This was also a highly collaborative project. I worked closely with the Workforce Technologies department, photographer, and copywriter to ensure the visuals, messaging, and program highlights aligned seamlessly. My role was to tie all elements together into a cohesive design that clearly communicated opportunity, accessibility, and career readiness.


The final layout balanced strong imagery, concise messaging, and brand consistency to position NWACC as a direct pathway from education to career success.

Celebrate Magazine


Each year, NWACC invests in a featured placement in Celebrate magazine, and I oversee the strategic development of the advertisement to align with the publication’s theme and institutional objectives. I collaborate with content contributors and the copywriter to craft messaging that communicates our initiatives with clarity and purpose while reinforcing brand identity. I also coordinate with the photographer to define a cohesive visual direction, ensuring the final piece is both conceptually strong and visually compelling.
